Tra il 1985 e il 1992, l'editore francese Éditions du Château ha pubblicato Popeye Poche. La serie, interamente in lingua francese, conta un totale di 36 albi. Un progetto che ha portato il celebre marinaio nel mercato francofono per quasi un decennio.
